No! I'm not Australian

If Bridget Jones were a real person, she would be Ocean Denham, somehow Ocean gets herself in crazy situations. Normally these unfortunate events are on home soil but lucky for the people of Europe they had Ocean inside them for 5 months. In those 5 months, well you are gonna have to grab a ticket to find out what happened......

Although Ocean's show is a barrel of laughs and we love her for that, she is also a female comedian challenging ideologies of how women are represented and talked about in society. With every show Ocean writes and performs she wants it to resonate with the audience, that we should share not shame those rather cringe worthy moments, if I shat myself on the 140 bus to Riccarton in Christchurch so be it, hell I'll even write a song about leaving the trail behind me as I left the bus (I can never bus again).

Be sure to grab a ticket and see Ocean in action, she is making waves in comedy and is not to be missed.

David Correos is David Postoffice

If you’ve seen David before, you’ll know exactly what to expect; the unexpected. His last two shows have taken us on a journey from a person sticking a bike pump up their bum, to an hour of pure stand up and everything in between.

This show is a culmination of all that and more, the pinnacle of everything a twenty-something-Filipino-comedian can put himself through. This time around David is taking all sorts of comedy, everything he’s learnt, everything he’s put his body and mind through, popping it in the pot and splattering it on the ceiling. What drips down is pure, unadulterated, Correos.

Laura Davies: If This Is It

Dark, shining and brave, there is no comedian better suited for an apocalypse.

Laura Davis started 2020 watching her home and country going up in huge bushfire flames from a cold apartment in Edinburgh. A few weeks later a 13-year career in comedy was on indefinite hold and she found herself spending 8 months sitting in the woods in New Zealand thinking “If this is it...”

Performing for the first time ever in Dunedin, join this internationally award winning comedian for the World Premiere of If This Is It.

Awardless

This show is a betrayal of everything I hold dear! It's offensive, it's cloying, it's a clear and unmitigated grab for prestige and the poster is a big picture of me! I am a twat! Anyway, me!

This show will mark five years since I started doing comedy and I still don't have any awards. Not even when my friends made them up out of thin air. I won one thing once. It was a box of crap cereal from a radio phone-in competition when I was a kid. That's not in the show, I just remembered it.

Now, you might say; "Well Simon, try getting off your lardy arse and work harder at being the best you you can be and maybe someone will reward you for your efforts!" - but we all know that's not how it works and I'm angry about that and I don't care about awards so I want one desperately.

Honestly, I never intended for this to be the show. I never wanted to do anything so obviously critically genital-tickling as a 'themed show' but it just happened after a bout of extreme bitterness manifested itself whilst carrying an exploded traffic cone home to my flat. How that traffic cone figured in my volcanic self-loathing - you'll have to come and see the show.
